We checked in around 1600@ the Budget Terminal then went for a light snack @ Hans before boarding TR118 to BKK. We still have 2hrs before boarding time so, "warm up" shopping in the duty free area before we haed for a "hardcore" shopping trip =p hahaha Finally, its 1815, time to board the good old Tiger airbus!!
Arrived @ Bkk's Suvarnabhumi (new airport), pronounced as Su-war-na-poom around 1925 Thai time, 15 mins ahead of scheduled time. Their airport is like, SUPER HUGE CAN!!! bigger than our Vivo City loh. So excited to be in Bkk, Thailand, My homeland. *bleamz* Darling wanted to catch a Taxi to hotel so when the airport stuff approached and ask if we want limousin for 800Bhat excluding highway toll, I agreed coz the stuff told me that if take taxi also ard the same price coz its like 45mins from the airport. I thought that it will be more reliable than Taxi. It was 2days later that i found out that it will only cost me 300B inclusive of highway toll. ~!@##$%%^&* FUCK!!! Became ROBERT liao loh. You know how many things u can buy with 500B not!!!!!
Once we checked into the hotel, drop our baggages, we head out to Patpong. The area famous for go-go bars and imitation goods. So, we went to our nearest station, Ratchathewi, took 1 stop down to Siam station(interchange) and took Silom line down 2 stops to Sala Deang. Hoohooo~ so excited to be there can. I bought a grade A LV imitation bag and a LV cap. We shop and shop and buy. 1st day already over spent. I was then told by a particular Taxi driver that things are pretty expensive coz they all target tourist. So, ROBERT for the 2nd time. =.=!!!! We ate our dinner at a roadside stall and it was delicious can!!! Fried rice, grilled chicken wings, grilled pork and freshly squeezed tangerin juice. Yummy Yummy. Simple, cheap yet fuiling. We shop until the wee hrs. Tired. Tired. But. Happy =)
Woke up very very early the next day. Darling keep bugging me to get up coz he hungry *argh* and also we going sight seeing which is pretty far from our hotel. So, dragged myself up and get ready. We took the skytrain to Sala Deang station then switched to subway to Hua Lampong and then tuk-tuk to the Wat Phrak Keaw which is located inside the Grand Palace. It was very very magnificent. You can never seeanything close to it in S'pore. Its really eye opeing esp when i dont know much about my culture and country's religion and history. After the Grand Palace, we walked to the nearby Wat Pho where the Reclining Buddha is. There's a flea market along the way. They sell mainly old stuffs and amulets. Then there's this man came to approach us, started chatting with us. He bluff-ed us that Wat Pho only opens at 1400 coz he wanted us to take his fren's tuk-tuk. Say, he can take us to 2 other Wats and only charge us 20B. Luckily i smart, know they lying coz they wan to bring us to some stores, like jwellery shops or tailors, so that they can earn commisson from the store if we purchase from the stores. hahaha I know coz i got do research, read it somewhere online. We, of coz, declined and walked away lah. Then that damn tuk-tuk driver stalked us and scold vulgarities!!! Scary!!! and he's not at all pleasent looking k! After a "tough" journey, we reached Wat Pho, 1 of the oldest wat in Bkk, and went for the traditional thai massage which only cost us abt 460B for 30mins each. 1 word: SHUNG!!!!
Then, in the afternoon, we went to Pratunam area, 10 mins walk from our Hotel ( First Hotel) to start our day of shopping. The area have a few shoping centres and few streets of shopping area. for both wholesales and retail. Of coz, if buy more than cheaper lah. Best thing is that you can bargain. ahahah all my shyness gone. =p We shopped the whole afternoon then head back to the hotel to wash up and get ready to meet my sis for dinner. Went to MBK. THE PLACE IS HUGE. once again, bigger than Vivo City. ahahah only got 1 place to comapre wat... things are slightly expensive thou. Sis didnt turn up. So we went for dinner and then proceed to V9 which is a wine lounge located on the 38th floor in Sofitel Hotel. Classy. Darling and I had a bottel of white. Hoho~ HIGH!!! lolx Our day dont just end there. We went to RCA to club. Its where most of the clubs are. the whole street. Best thing is, they DUN HAVE COVER CHARGE. Whoohoo~ how good to be living in Bkk. Their clubbing scence is slighty different from S'pore coz they dun have a dance floor and its damn packed. believe me. PACKED AS IN PACKED. Even more packed than molecules in solid matters. Worst than n MoS.
-Sun- our last day in Bkk
Darling bugging me to wake up,yet again. I secretly thinks that he have fetish for the hotel's breakfast. hahahahah like cannot wait to get to the food like that. Must have been all the performance. *opps*
After breakfast, we caught a cab, wanted to RCA for go kart racing but aft we called Darling's bro, he told us that the go-kart place wont be open until like,3-4pm loh. ok fine... we headed to JJ market instead. I tell you, the place was awesome! Its huge HUge HUGE!!!! Its was scorching hot and it was crowded. But nevetheless, it was fun to shop and you can find all kind of stuffs there. Furnitures, Clothes, 2nd hand goods, Accessories, Shoes, Pets *OMG PETS!!!* etc.. They have puppies of all kind and also bunnies. the bunnies waer clothes. co cute can! didnt take pictues of them thou. the weather was too hot for my tolerance, was kindda short tempered during my stay there but i still enjoy myself thou esp with the companion of my darling. *muack!!* I've lose tracks of the time spent there. just know that my feet hurts alot. *sobx* pain.... Anyway, we went back to the hotel ard 1600 for a short rest before meeting my sis and her friends for dinner @ Siam Square. Darling went around to explore our hotel abit while i stayed and packed my baggage in the room. He returned with food, much to my surprise coz i relised that i was really hungry. *heex*
Siam Square is where the local teenagers like to hang out. Its just like our Bugis Street but only BIGGER and with tiled floor hence, cleaner and easier to walk. Things are pretty too. Dinner aftermath was SHOPPING!!! @ Siam Sqaure then Suam Luuam Night Bazaar. Suam Luuam is pretty much the same as JJ market just that its cleaner and less dusty. They also have a gigantic ferris wheel. Beautiful! Didnt get to ride on it thou. Our sunday ends just like that =)
Overall , Bkk trip was great! Totally enjoied ourself and of coz, we will go back there again. Definately. The palce can never be boring, like S'pore. I've got myself lotsa accessories, few tops, a pair of jellie shoes, a watch, 3belts, rhinestones, 2bags and cosmetics. Darling got like, i think more than 10 tops, belt, a pair of pants and a pair of jeans, accessries, a pair of shoes and... i cannot remember liao. ahhaha Btw, our room overlook the pool *yay*
